Along with Sinopharm Medicine Holding Co., Ltd.’s takeover of Accord Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. in 2004, Shenzhen Zhijun Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd.(formerly Shenzhen Pharmaceutical Factory)embraces a new development opportunity. Shenzhen Zhijun Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd.(formerly Shenzhen Pharmaceutical Factory)has invested RMB250 million (US$31.2 million) to purchase 50,000 square meters in Guanlan Park of Shenzhen Hi-Tech Industrial Belt to build a modern Medical & Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturing Base in accordance with cGMP conformity assessment by USFDA. The R&D center and diversified production lines for both modern pharmaceutical dosage preparations and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) will be put into operation in the end of 2007.
