Ceftazidime for Injection

Sterile powder for injection IM/IV

[Indications]

Ceftazidime is used for the following infections caused by susceptible Gram-:

  • Septicemia
  • Lower respiratory tract infection
  • Gallbladder infection
  • Complicated urinary tract infection
  • Severe skin and soft tissue infection

Especially for infections in patients with immunity deficiency and hospital-acquired infections caused by multiple Ceftazidime-resistent Gram- bacillus, and CNS infections caused by B. pyocyaneus.

[Usage and Administration]

Dissolve by water for Injection just before use.

For septicemia, lower respiratory tract infection and gallbladder infections: 4~6g per day, by intravenous drip or intravenous infusion in 2~3 divided doses for 10~14 days.

For urinary tract infections and severe skin & soft tissue infections: 2~4g per day, by intravenous drip or intravenous infusion in 2 divided doses for 7~14 days.

For some life-threatening infections and CNS infections, 150~200mg per kg of body weight by intravenous drip or intravenous infusion is allowed in 3 divided doses.
